Went to the Wire Pine steam threshing and sawing show today. Case was featured, but others were there too.

Lots of neat stuff there. You guys out in real farm country seem to have an abundance of it.
Do I read Fairbanks Morse on the base of the big engines inside?

Now that's what I call an antique show!! I'm a member of another website. The younger members post pics of so called antique shows that have equipment from the 60's and 70's.

I commented I wouldn't pay to see equipment I could see at any dealers used lot for free. They jumped all over me saying equip from the 70's was too old to use and was only good for shows and parades.

I was there. If you saw a 1940 john deere b with two little blonde girls, that was me and my daughters in the parade. My brother was right behind me with a john deere 530 and his little girl was ridding with him. The barrel maker in your pictures is a very good friend of mine and a deacon in our local church. Would have loved to have met you in person!

Maybe next year. Do you happen to know what the SC case at Paul's brought? I hope it found a good home as that was a nice tractor. With white pine featuring case this year, it sure would have fit in nicely.

Nice pictures. From time to time there a posts here talking about how much old stuff is being scrapped and "we" better be careful because there will come a day when we might need that old stuff again to make a living with.

From what I see here there doesn't appear to be much of a shortage of old stuff. Lots of it is being preserved.

Someone there said they ran it up to 1,200.00, but didn't know how far after that it went. I didn't stay either since I had no interest.

Aaron- is that the show at McGrath? Was there a few years ago- I liked the emphasis on logging. Interesting to watch the barrels being made, and the printing/folding in the newspaper shop.

jonfmn,

Great photos! Thanks for posting.

My husband enjoyed seeing these a lot... he used to go to the White Pine Show when he was younger and single. (I've never been there.)
