My wife and I came to Branson this weekend. This
evening we rode the Scenic Railway way. We took the
Dinner ride at 5pm. The waiters and waitresses
worked their butts off keeping us all satisfied. WE
had the fish dinner. It's well worth the price. Be
sure to watch the video on their website.

John.
Take the helocoptor ride and make sure you stop at Bass Pro and other sites in "downtown" Branson.
Don't miss Lambert's in Ozark, MO on the way home!

We rode that train a couple years ago when we were down there. They take you all the way into Arkansas. Did you get to eat in the car that the Rat Pack used to own? We went during the day, but I talked them into unlocking it so we could see it. I could just imagine Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, etc...lounging around in it.

We are going to Branson in October, but I am not sure just what shows and activities my wife has planned. I usually just let her do the planning for our vacations and it always turns into a good time.

I will mention the train to her. Thanks!

So then your about 1oo or so miles south west of me here at the lake of the Ozarks. Did my honeymoon there with my first wife and have not and do not ever want to go back. Owner of Silver Dollar City pours millions of $$ into stopping the Mo conceal and carry bill. The first time it came up it did not pass but it did the 2nd time

I've never been to Branson, but have never heard a bad story about it. You and your's went, obvisously with the best intentions with and for the best of times, and it sounds as though you and your's are having a swell time. So looking back, are you and your's regretting it? Does not sound as though, or as though you should be, and that's not a bad deal. God bless, and enjoy every second as though it's the last second of the beginning or your last and only time here. Enjoy!

Years ago, 2000, I took a Carnival cruise to some Caribean islands and such. In my cabin there was a hard back book of the ship in that it was its maiden cruise. The book showed the ship being built in Italy, and showed pictures of every single person on board working the ship, male and female, and many of them were from the Middle East, countries warring with each other at the time and still to this very day. Yet, on ship with each other, working side by side, differences in countries or whatever, they worked as a team, 12 hour shifts, something like 9 months straight, no days off...making the best money they ever had in their lives, no trouble witnessed. My point of all of this? We are here on this Earth one time only as far as I have WITNESSED, and as far as I know, that's it. After this life? Rumors, beliefs, and teachings that I've not witnesed the outcomes, so enjoy as best we can when ever and however we can.

Branson, Missouri? I have not heard a bad thing about it since it took off decades ago. Thank you for enjoying it, and thank you for giving me a reason to try it out.

Make sure to plan about a four hour stop in Springfield mo.. Be sure to look up at the ceeling, its like standing on the bottom of a lake looking up. Don"t miss the gun room up on the second level. This would be at the Bass pro shop in springfield. The bass pro shop in branson doesent even come close to comparison.

Landry"s Seafood [always get the Trash-Bar appetizer} and Rocky"s Italian [always get the salad], just across the street from the RR.
More I think about it, either today I rake rocks once again, or I go to Branson....

Thanks Jim, we took the kids on the helicopter ride back in 2008. IT was a big copter and you couldn't hardly see out of it. They have a smaller one here I saw yesterday. Might try my luck at the segways that and wanna do the zipline that's over a mile long and tower is 170 ft high.

How long are you going to be there? If you get a chance,go down to Dogwood Canyon. The wife and I spent our 25th anniversary down there 10 years ago. Beautiful place.

My favorite show in branson is the baldknobbers. We really liked the ducks, they let me drive it on the lake. As far as helicopters, I got my fill of them in Nam in 69 & 70.
