Plans for Saturday

The wife and kids are going to the football game at Ames tomorrow. I have worked every day the last two weeks and just want to stay home.

I plan to get the loader bracket modifications done on the 6610 and pull the hydraulic lines off so I can get started on converting the loader away from the remotes.

I hope to paint the last miscellaneous parts on the MH44 tomorrow, there is a Massey show in Forest City weekend after next.

This is what I have planned. Just starting a couple hours later then I originally thought.

I went and got the Over/Under unit for the White yesterday after having it rebuilt. Gonna try to get that back in today. Suffering from lack of sleep from doing it a thousand times overnight in my mind.

I think about it in my sleep too when worried about a job, it is usually much easier than I was thinking.

I'm going to do the same thing that I did yesterday. Block and split, load, unload, and stack another load of wood. Then I'll kick back with a couple of barley pops.
Just 5 more loads to go and I am done.

fixerupper,

Forest City has a great show... and buildings and
buildings of stuff to look at! Steamers and Gas
Traction's like you wouldn't believe - and lots of
plowing demos. You and your wife would enjoy it.

If you google "Heritage Park of North Iowa", and
click on the link for "Steam Threshing Festival
Sept. 12-14, 2014" and scroll down they have a
discount coupon you can print for each person
attending and save $1 off admission price.

We were there 2 or 3 years ago. Would like to go
again someday!

I am ahead of schedule for the day, actually washed the combine, which was not planned. I have to go into town and get a 3/4 drill bit, then put 6610 back together.

Paint parts for MH44 this afternoon, and might get a chance to ride motorcycle.

Turned out to be TOO easy. I must have done something wrong. It slid right in the first try. Didn't have to turn anything, didn't even have to use any pry bars. This can't be good.

Retired-I see you are getting up some wood. I heard the EPA is going to stop use of all older wood stoves because of air pollution they emit. You will have to meet the particle levels they require.
Have you heard anything on what they plan to do?

Too much work to do around the house, putting in a new boiler. So I am going tractor pulling.

Driving my Farmall H to a neighbors family open house at their dairy farm. They milk 750 head, have a big open house once a year. I haul wagon loads of the guests thru the barns and sand reclamation ponds. We usually have around 600 guests, many of them have only seen a cow thru the window of their car.
