OT--stump removal with buttermilk?

Have any of you ever tried removing a stump with buttermilk?
Don't laugh--it works! An older gentleman neighbor told me to drill several large holes or use a chainsaw to make a cavity that would hold buttermilk. He said to not go through the stump, just down far enough to fill.
Years ago, I tried this and within a few months, small tree stumps were rotted and easy to remove.
Neighbor said that the buttermilk caused bacteria that would cause the rotting. Larger stumps took nearly or over a year.
Don't know if it would work with cedar or such tree stumps.
I haven't done this in years as I own a backhoe.

Now THAT I will have to try! I have a large stump that's too close to the house to burn and too big for me to dig out.

Plus I don't think the chickens will mind sharing a little buttermilk!

On a large stump, I would try to get as much milk as possible inside stump.
I might add that neighbor told me to fill and forget and leave uncovered.
I was very skeptical before trying this but it worked and didn't require a lot of work or expense.

I'll have to give it a try, got several stumps that need to go.

If someone tried to pour buttermilk in me, I'd go away quickly too! LOL

Relative with a tree service told us to drill lots of 1/4" holes, pour table salt into holes! Within a year that stump was GONE! Not sure it ever stopped working, as every year it needs more dirt to fill the hole!

This is not a spoof.

If you like buttermilk and you like V8 or tomato juice, mix them together half and half. Refreshing. Add a little Texas Pete to spice it up if you like.

Add vodka or gin and a dash of Worcestershire sauce for a different kind of bloody Mary.

Scotch and sweet milk is another odd drink that is very good if you like Scotch.

American lager (PBR, Miller, Budweiser) and tomato juice or V8 is also good. It needs a bit of Texas Pete and Worcestershire as well.

I loves the buttermilk.

To keep on topic: I have a cedar stump that needs digging or burning. I don't think the buttermilk will get it though. I'm going to wait for cooler weather and have a little bonfire.

Would the buttermilk sold in the grocery store work?

I think it is pasteurized, so wouldn't have active bacteria in it.

I really don't know, but I used store bought. In reality, I guess you could use regular milk, might not work as fast.
