Does anyone know, since Rimguard is not supposed to be corrosive, does it have to be inside a tube or can it be put just inside a tubeless tire? Thanks

I think it works fine in tubeless tires, that is the advantage of it. I checked into it when we bought our tractor but there was no one local that would put it in. I found some weights that fit perfect and they work well.

I bought a large MFWD tractor a few years ago and needed 4000# rear ballast in a hurry. Guy came and pumped 100 gal. into each of four tires. Two have tubes, two don't. So far, so good.

I would still prefer iron ballast, for a better ride.

Tubes are not necessary.

With or without tubes, it is a mess when repairing punctures or other tire damage.

I have Rim Guard in the tires of three of my Bolens garden tractors. They all have tubeless tires.

When I talked to the Rim Guard folks, they said the only thing you have to be careful of, is to use metal valve stems, not rubber ones. They said that Rim Guard attacks the adhesive used in the rubber valve stems, and in time they ill leak.
