Farm plate use?

In massachusettes can u take a farm plate off one truck and put it on another-some one else's truck?

in Va. you buy farm plates at DMV and the other things that say farm truck at TS . you know the difference .

It is my understanding that here in MA - You are supposed to list all your equipment that you will be using the plate with on your original application.
That being said, It seems as though no one checks around here.

I can't justify the cost, so I only reg. my larger tractor with comm. plates and If needed I haul the smaller ones on the trailer.

Asking about a specific Mass law, or any other states laws, on a site like this is a real good way to get a lot of poor info. Contact your State DMV and get the info or contact your State Police and get the info from them. Anything else is going to be near worthless. What applies in NY or Pa or In or SC does not apply in Mass.

Isnt that plate issued for that truck then putting on another would seem against the law you dont do it with your car so why do it to truck. Like other post says check with local law and sure not here.
