JD 350 dozer

In checking my oil levels I discovered the oil is very milky and about 2 qts overfull. I used it a few days ago. What could the cause of this be?

If you're lucky, its a head gasket (really? having to change a head gasket is "lucky"?). If you're not lucky, its a cracked head or block, which gets pretty serious.

when faced with this problem on jd tractor, I pulled the oil pan, traced coolant drip back to cyl. liner. yeah, I know its more trouble on a dozer, but unless it has been o/heating, think I would start there.

Half a dozen years ago had a similar problem on my
450B. It was a cylinder liner O-ring. While I was at
it I did an in-chassis rebuild and I got the parts
from someone I know and he said not to rebuild if
you don't do injectors and pump because too much
fuel could ruin a fresh rebuild. Also made me buy
new head bolts. He was the machinist at the auto
parts store and knew the things likely to go wrong.

I have everything disconnected and the head ready to pick off, now I wonder if I have to take the injector nozzles off or will they just come off with the head when I remove it?
Thanks,
Jim

Regarding the 350 with water in the oil, I have the head off and have taken it to the machine shop and they said everything looked good. Took the belly pan off and the oil pan off. It looks like only 2 cap screws hold each piston, wondering if I can take the pistons out thru the top or is there more to it than taking out the 2 cap screws.
Thanks Jim

On this 350 with water in the oil, I have the pistons out and I need to remove the cylinder liners, I tried with a bottle jack and a rod like suggested but they did not move. Does the liner protrude thru the block about an inch or 2? And what is the wall thickness? Thanks a lot. I will be getting a mechanic to look at it soon.
