When did the trend change in brochures it use to
be they were like a cliffs notes of an operators
manual now its all just pretty pictures and specs
that's it .

I was at the chevy dealer the other week and they said that this was the last year that chevy was going to make sales lit. The salesman makes some BS comment that no one wants sales lit they can just look at everything online. I said "It might also be that it saves chevy millions a year in costs". That shut him up pretty quick.

Ya its all about cost which OK but how much are you scre*ing me on every single part and everything else . Agco and john deere will send literature out buy mail if yij contact em . But the smaller companies just send a link to online brochures

While going through some old stuff the other day, I came across an owner's manual that my great uncle had gotten in 1915 when he purchased a brand new Model T.

It gave detailed instructions on how to repair almost everything on the car. The owner's manual then was the equivalent of a shop manual today.
