We took a little road trip out west over the weekend. Hauled a load of hay out to Cheyenne. Took 20 to Haysprings, south to Hemmingford, over to 385 and across to Scottsbluff. Dropped down through LaGrange Wy, and on into Cheyenne. After getting rid of the hay, we went to Ft Collins, then back roads to Bennett CO.
The return trip we went to Last Chance, north to Brush, up to Sterling, on up to Sidney, back to Chappell, and on home.
Saw about every make and model of tractor working and sitting.
Just curious how close I was to some of you? I am pretty sure I drove right by Jimmie Phelps, but didn't have time to stop.
Country all looks GREAT!!

I live about 800 miles from where you were at but I do know about every road in the Sterling and Brush area. Pulled combines through Scottsbluff a couple of times then I-80 had a width restriction. We went through Chappell and Sydney a couple of weeks ago. I love that open country. Jim

Do they still grow some fields of hops and barley by the Fort Collins Budweiser Brewery? I saw the hops and barley growing there a few years back.

I"m just east of Cheyenne in Burns. I"m pretty sure that Jimmies place is the first place on the east side of the road when you head north through Lorenzo.

I think they do. There are usually some checkerboard little crops of something growing next to the plant. Always thought it was some test plots or something. I never have stopped there.

Years ago, I worked for a guy that built a roping arena a few miles north and east of the Bud brewery. Thought I could point the road out to the wife, but that county has changed a bunch in 20 years!!!!
