New Holland Model 75 Kicker, getting stuck

Hey guys,
have a NH 311 with a model 75 pan style thrower.
Went out baleing and the kicker began intermittently not returning to position after throwing...it sounded as though it were bouncing back up and then slowly lowering itself and getting stuck on the next bale which had already advanced.
Upon closer examination, it was not bouncing but rather after kicking, something was causing it to repeatedly push the hydraulic ram so, I am thinking that the culprit is the actuator or detent valve...not sure if it is just getting stuck or if it is not adjusted correctly...the manual seems to think that this is the area to look...but i was hoping for some real world experience and advice...
thanks

Need to take the detent cap off of the valve (two screws I think). Clean and grease it. Also grease all the other points too. Some oil on the valve spool may help too.

It is just trying to wave at the bale just thrown!

Roger This thrower is a JD built thrower sold to NH???? I have a friend that looked for one new and bought a new baler just to get that style thrower.

JD I think the thrower was built by NH with license from JD Ottumwa. Obviously some components were strictly NH.

I don't remember them being built here at JDOW.
