1943 P38 info needed

I stumbled into a barn find of sorts. I was looking at a Farmall Cub, when the lady asked me if i was interested in the P38 (#4972H AC/43). She could use some cash and I don't want to rip her off or lose on my side either.
I have no idea what it is worth. It also came with a holster and belt and the belt buckle has the Luffwafa(sp) symbol on it.

Minimum $500. Is it import marked? How is the bore? Mags, are they numbered, do they match the gun?

Any paperwork showing that it was a captured piece/ when it was mailed home?

My oh my if that could tell stories. I have the luger my father brought home. He got it early in the war in France and carried it till he got back home so it has some wear on it. It is one of the few things I have that I would never part with. Will be my sons when I'm gone.

WW2 P-38 advertised in the June 2014 Shotgun News , by vendor J & G Sales, Prescott, AZ , with similar markings $579 retail.
and no story like you would have with this one.

What will double the value of the piece is if it was brought back by her husband or father or relative. Where he served and with what units.If it was get any papers, and a notarized affidavit from her describing how it got to the US and to0 whom.

Thanks, I am going to offer $700, just to be fair. The gun is nice and teh bore is decent. Her husband came back in 1944 and brought it with him. There is also a 22 German training rifle, so I will just wing it on that one. It is marked Wermark or something to that effect.

dej(jed) I have a 1943 BYF P38 I"ve had for years.
It"s in mint condition, have 2 clips,a not original
holster ,but it for the p38. I"ve had many offers
to sell it but they only want to offer 2 or 3
hundred ,so I just keep it! I would sell it for
the right price as I don"t use it for anything,it
