Dc 4 has a solid wide front like a standard or western. Dc3 has narrow or adjustable wide front. At least that's the way I've always known it.
 
OK. This one is an adjustable wide front. I think I told you about it when you were here. It sits right next door. I really should go get it and put the tires on my 77. Royse wanted to know if it was a 3 or 4. I wish I could find somebody to take it off my hands after I take the tires off if I go get it. I hate to take something like that to the crusher,but it's the wrong color for me.
 
Just checked tractordata. It said 3 was narrow front,4 was wide front. D is standard tread. It gives a weight of 5300 pounds! I know there's a lot of cast in those things,but wow. At what the crusher is paying today that makes it worth at least $625 if you figure 5000 pounds without the rear tires and rims.
 
Checked with the experts, adjustable wide front is a dc-3. Not that it matters much if you scrap it, but they are a bit more colectable with the adjustable front. Do you know if it's a foot or hand clutch and does it have eagle hitch?
 
Hand clutch,Eagle hitch with original center link. Two hyd levers so it has couplers off the other lever. Not stuck,"ran when parked".
 
At least let me know on the third link if you dump it. Wouldn't mind a wide front dc, but not going that far for one, at least not soon. Wouldn't mind having the third link tho.
 
If I get it,I'd take scrap price x weight. All I want is the rear tires. It sits right next door. He gave me a price on it a year ago,I haven't talked to him about it lately. It's in mid Michigan.
 
jon and rrlund ,,I am in Louisville ,,, do not scrap the ol gent...so I yield to those who are closer ,,if either of you pass I can take it , if you need wheels I have wheels,,
 
I'll have to talk to the guy. He works 50 miles away and stays at his travel trailer on a lake nearer to where he works most of the summer months. I'll check with him when I get a chance. All I want are the rear tires.
