I didn't know anything about this. I just knew she was going thru some personal health issues & hadn't seen her on YT board. I still hope she is doing OK.

Its not my site, so they can do as they please, but maybe some sort of warning or 3 strike system would work well. I can control myself fine, but I know plenty of good people that just need reminded every now and then. Of course it is easier to just kick them out of the sandbox and be done with it...

Did you read the link that Lund put up below? I think that you will find the folks here are very lenient. They will delete posts when you slip up and they do it without the drama and scolding you might run into on other forums. I think they do a pretty darn good job. I don't mind being deleted, but I am decidedly NOT going to take it well if you send me an e-mail and talk to me like I am a ten year old.

The woman in question jumped on a post about a man and his parents. He had to place them in LTC and they were very resentful of it. You can imagine the upset of having to do this to parents. The things said by your friend were off the charts as far as insensitivity goes. Read the link. I have never heard a mod comment like that before...have you?

I have had to do that, and the parents get angry, it is very stressful and you second guess the decision all the time, not a fun spot to be in.

I never go to tales, I guess I miss the excitement also.

Too bad things got so out of hand, such a deal is very difficult, those of us a little older have been there done that, its tough.

I've been around here for a long time, jeez closer to 20 years than not? Saw a few people get kicked out but never a reaction like that, musta been something good it is gone.

Thinking the same. I guess most folks forget the saying"Sticks & stones". Having the weigh of terminal or cancer issues on ones mind daily and taking Kemo treatments to hang onto life should in my opinion be overlooked as having a bad day.
Sure the moderator has the duty to keep peace , and can delete the offensive post with out destroying the original post. I suggested that several years ago. IMHO Removing jennifer from the sight was a rush to judgement. A fair warning would have been in order. As a fellow human being I can understand hurtfull writings but still have it in my heart to forgive and understand why.

I don't know what was said,but to be worse than what Lyle said one night about his cats and dog,it must have been way over the top. That was the most disgusting thing I ever read anywhere. Maybe the difference was that he wasn't attacking somebody else when he said it?

I didn't know she was that sick.Yes she should have been given a warning.My wife had terminal cancer. During the last 5 years of her life.There were days when she could have made. Attila the Hun run and hide. The pain and being tired of being sick. Can get the best of you.

I think it went too far as well. Just remove offending post and a warning. She helped a lot of people on here. I never heard how her health problems came out.

BTDT also with a loved one -can't please everybody just have to decide what is best nd drive on. In the end it will all work out and if one of the family wants to be resentful and neever speak again so be it BTDT too, never easy -the armchair quarterback have all the answers but no action.
