We got about 1-1/2" of rain last night. Just a nice steady soaker. Hope it helps fill the corn out some.
SW Michigan.

Are you kidding me? It sprinkled here just before I went to bed. Didn't amount to more than a heavy dew.

Where the heck were you yesterday anyway? You never called me to see where we were.

Its been four weeks here since we had any rain. There has been some just to the north but not much. The crops would really be hurting if it was hotter. The lighter soils are already hurt and the top of the higher yields is gone on many fields. There will still be a good crop but not the bin buster like we have been having.

The trees are starting to chase the dogs around here.
We had not a drop of rain in 6 weeks

We seem to have rain or showers every other day. Would like a two week dry spell to harvest grain and bale straw. In all truth, here in southern Ontario we are still waiting for summer to start. Maybe next year! Bruce

I wish I could share some rain with ya"ll. We have had between 25 and 30 inches in the last 6 to 8 weeks. We finally had clear wheather this week. I cut hay for the first time since Mid June this week. the early beans look real good. the late beans are severely stunted because of too much rain. corn looks real good. I am in coastal South Carolina.

We've had 2" in the past two weeks here in my part of NWIA. Very welcome. The high spots in the fields that normally need more rain to survive are going to have to make up yield-wise for the low spots that drowned out earlier on. Some of the real sandy spots were looking pretty tough before this rain came. This rain will really help the beans out at this stage when they're deciding how many pods to keep and fill. Some of my re-planted beans that were planted a month ago are darned near closing the 30" rows already. The weeds are doing great too! Jim

Spudm;

I'm 10 miles north of Allegan.

Randy: I forgot to bring your number. I walked the tractor rows a couple of times but didn't see anyone that looked familiar. 'nother time. Hunting season is coming and I hunt Flat River SGA a bit. I'll stop in and see your Olivers.
