Not familiar with your particular engine, but if
it was running without problems before it was
stored, head gasket might not be the problem.

Head gaskets usually fail running, not sitting.
Typically they fail as a result of overheating,
and a failed gasket will typically show up as
overheating, mystery coolant loss, poor
performance, and, as you noted, coolant in the
oil.

First, the obvious, was there sufficient
antifreeze? If it froze, anything is possible, all
are bad!

Does this engine have wet sleeves? If so there
will be an oring at the bottom of each cylinder
that can leak coolant into the oil.

Is there a separate housing on the front of the
engine, (timing cover) to which the water pump
attaches? If so, the gasket could have failed or
the housing corroded through allowing coolant into
the oil.
