Can anyone give me 'pressure adjustment '101' lesson
Gresen casting number is 2702 W plus stamped PH (very hard to read)

At the inlet port on the casting there are two adjustments that are possible.
1st is a slotted screw held in set position by a lock nut.
2nd there is a slotted screw.

Thanks for your help.

You have a Gresen SP monoblock valve The slotted
screw is the adjustment. Now are you using it on a
tractor that also has a relief valve? What pressure
are you looking for? Do you have a gauge to check
it? There were also 2 different springs for
different pressure ranges. Need more information
from you now

Hello thanks for the help.
White 2-60 4wd tractor with an external hydraulic pump mounted to the secondary PTO shaft. Hydraulic fluid is in separate reservoir. So it does not use the tractors internal fluid. There is a good quality zero to 3000 psi gauge in the circuit.
The pump uses the Gresen valve to operate the front loader and for a few days a year a log splitter.
When the cylinders bottom out in either the loader or the log splitter you hear a howling sound, probably the relief. It then shows 2,200 psi on the gauge. I want to increase system pressure to about 2350 psi so I can get about 150 lbs more lift on the loader. I think this would be a safe limit.
So I assume I just back off the locking nut and turn in the adjuster screw about 1/4 turn at a time until I get to the pressure I want.
Does that sound reasonable?
