Need a tractor to leave on a 20' batwing mower, need MFD, mostly wide open work, only going to put on 100 hrs. or so a year. See a lot of these out there reasonable, all my other tractors are green, 4250 or so is too expensive, budget is $25k or less. Nice 2090 mfd I was looking at, and lots of 32,33,3594 rigs out there. Are the early or later ones any better than the other? Any input appriciated!

They are pretty rugged. Case has some issues running the PTO while the Power shift is in reverse on the older ones. I think that was corrected on the 94 series.

The big thing I would check on is if the MFWD can be turned off on the 94 series. I know that some of the first CIH MFWD where full time MFWD. They did not turn very well and wore the front tires out fast if you had to do much road travel.

They are all similar tractors in that they all have the case 504 engine, one of the best there is. The 2094 at 110 hp and non-turbo might be on the bottom end as far as hp goes. The good thing is you can work that engine hard all day without hurting it as long as you give a few minutes to cool before you shut it down. The 32/33/3594 all had full time fwd and I think the 6 spd power shift. That is as good a trany as anyone elses at the time, but you need to run Cases Hytran oil. You can't run JD or no-name oil in a case powershift or it can be damaged. There is no problem with doing pto work in reverse, you can blow snow or back up with a baler all day with no problems. The only reverse issue is doing STATIONARY pto work with the shift in reverse, such as running a blower at a silo. That can damage the trany. Any of those tractor would be good for what you want and sip fuel doing it.

jon f mn the 32 is a 3 speed powershift. The 22 and the 32 are the same chassis size just the 32 is a few more hp,1000pto only and you can't shut the mfd off.I wouldn't rule out a 2096 either just to run that size of mower and that little 5.9 in them is unreal on fuel you almost have to take it out instead of adding.LOL!
