Lookin for Corn to Pick

Got the old Weber wagon (Ihc) out and hooked "The Boys" to it. I thought I was going to have a couple of runaways when the wagon started bouncing along. It made a lot of noise, compared to the rubber tired wagons I usually use. It was a little tense for a bit...for sure...but they settled right in.
That wagon sure makes a lot of rumbling noises. Now, if I can just find some corn to pick..lol!

Other pics are of a MM spreader I came across. It had sat in a barn for over 40 years. All the tires had air except one of the front. I put new front tires and tubes, a little grease and oil, and it's ready to spread "fertilizer". (I may have posted the spreader pics before)
The last couple are of the "Children" riding on the rubber tired wagon. I put a sheet of plywood across on a section of the seats and covered it with outdoor carpeting. They love riding up there, just like on the flatbed of a pickup. Bob

Great pictures !

That wagon is more suited for hand husked corn. If you were close I would bring my husking peg and be over to help.

It all looks great! Plenty of eager help along too.

The high wheeled wagon still needs the extra tall sideboard on one (left?) side of the wagon (used to be called a back board or a bang-board?) to reduce throwing ears of corn over the wagon.

I agree with SS55 about the bank board. My dad was a horse person, not me. He bought a pair of white mules, hooked them up to a wagon with my brother holding them. When my brother let go, it was like the flag was dropped. Around and around he went in a small grass field by our house and could get them stopped. Finally he ran them into the fence and they stopped then, not wanting to hurt themselves. I thought they would have made good dog food.

I would help you pick corn, but my husking peg has been hanging on the barn wall since 75 and it might be a little rusty. I know I am.
