Anybody have any ideas to keep mice and other
creatures out of combine and truck cabs stuff that
doesn't get used a lot is where they love to live

We had good luck with those fabric softener paper pieces that you put in the clothes dryer. Forgot the name but they work good and don't smell as offensive as mothballs. I am sure someone else will see this and call it what it is. Maybe, "Bounce" not sure but they last all winter and we don't have mice problems if we use them. We put them in car, combine, tractor cabs and even boat with good results

Mint extract, clothes dryer sheets they don't like either. If they have been in either before, best to get rid of any residual urine smell, they always come back to that.

A good friend of mine uses scented drier sheets in all his equipment after he cleans them up from Fall harvest. Seems to work well for him.

I've found that they stay away if I spray some diesel under the vehicle or on my gravel pads where some of my vehicles are parked. I haven't tried diesel in an open container yet so it might be that they just don't like getting it on their feet rather than the smell

We use fabric softener sheets in our boat and camper in the off season. Seem to work pretty good for us.

Peppermint extract was recommended here and it seemed to make a big difference in my travel trailer.

I used a pound of black pepper and put it around all tires and on top of the axles last fall . I have not seen or had the smell of mice yet I will do it again.

I have good luck with Irish Spring bath soap. Cut a bar into 4 pieces and place in vehicle. I heard about this in a car collector magazine called Old Cars Weekly. I live in the country and keeps em out of my cars. I also keep poison out. Also have cats.

I put Irish Spring in the combine cab and the mice chewed on it. Maybe they died from the scours because nothing else was, chewed on. Jim

Go on youtube and look up 5 gallon bucket mouse trap.. I had 11 mice in there overnight on the first night .. Empty it out once a week , strain out the rv antifreeze and reuse it..

I like when you find something with a mouse nest in it. The cats have a ball with releasing them one at a time here. Here lately they"ve discovered that birds live in nests in trees, and nests have tasty treats in them.
