Or whatever tool they use. It's my turn in the hospital and surgery. I have a palup or cyst or something in my sinuses I'm having removed Friday. I've been having pain in my cheek for a while now and been chasing it with Dentist removing bad teeth. Now they found this thing in my sinuses. Hope it cures the pain

Should be an outpatient thing
 
Been there, done that, absolutely no fun. My Dr used 2 rubber hoses instead of packing my sinuses. Glad DR got it right the first time. I've heard some people aren't that lucky.
 

Hope everything turns out OK for you. I've never had sinus surgery but I have had a hose rammed up my nose and down into my stomach to pump it out. Not something we look forward to! Jim

I have also had 4 sinus surgeries. All went well for me with little or no pain after. Bout due for another too.
 
Been there, sort of. They said take the cotton packing out after 72hrs.
Pulled the first 6" out and thought that would be it.was getting real concerned and sore in the snout after 18". Was right freaked when 36" of packing was removed.
Then to pull the packing from the other side.
Felt good to breath again.
