871 wiring ?

Does anyone know the proper wiring for the 871 SOS?
I am particularly interested in the wires coming out of the transmission. Mine are cut and I need to know how they were tied in.

Thank you

There are a couple guys on the Ford board who really know those SOS trannies. My experience with them is limited, but I'm pretty sure the wires coming outof the transmission are for the low oil pressure light. The neutral safety switch would likely be in the shifter mechanism.

1 wire coming out of the top cover. It runs from the Park safety switch inside the trans to the starter push button under the dash to one of the small posts on the solenoid.

Thank you guys, I have 2 cut wires...I assumed one going into the sw and the other going to start sw.
Thanks again

There should only be 1 wire going into the top cover and it connects to the Park safety switch inside the transmission. When the trans is in Park the safety switch is grounded and when it's in any other gear the safety switch is not grounded. Connect a Ohmeter to each of the 2 wires and see if one of them completes a circuit only when the trans is in Park.

Mine has one on the left side that I assume goes to the pressure indicator light.
