Older Kubota Question

Not sure where to post this, so I will start here:

I have a late 70's Kubota L-225. The transmission is bad, but all else is great!

Locally there is a L-185 for sale that does not run. Does anyone know if the transmission will fit my L-225?

All help is greatly appreciated!

Tommy D.

They tend to focus on newer machines, but a lot of smart folk over at www.tractorbynet.com in the Kubota section, maybe you could find help there if no one here knows?

You might try the "orange tractor talk" forum with your question. www.orangetractortalks.com
I own an 1983 L305DT.

Cannot answer your question but most good Salvage yards should be able to answer that.

I went to Tractor House web site. Scroll down to Dismantled Machines. Go to Kubota.

There are 9 L225's and 2 L225DT's dismantled machines listed in various parts of country.

Good Luck, Bill

Local Kubota Dealer should be able to answer also.

Ask the oldest employee that you see working there ! (grin)

Sorry it took me so long but all my research, Parts books, ect says no. They do share some parts in the transmission but the case caries a different part number.
