Looking for any advice on Vermont for a fall trip to Northeast Kingdom and the Champlain valley
Anyone on here from Vermont??? Spent some time in southern and central VT long ago Any events to consider??? thanks

Lake Willoughby in the Kingdom is very beautiful. Not too far over in Lancaster, NH, there is a fall festival sometime after Labor day. A little farther up route 3 is Colebrook and Pittsburg NH where moose alley is. Always saw mooses there at dusk.

Shelbourne Museum is great, can spend more then a day to see it all. There is also a street in Burlington that is all crafts and local made furniture ect don"t remember the name, if you like that stuff. Ben and Jerry"s ice cream factory. Morgan Horse Farm. Ride a ferry on the lake.
Shelboune Museum

Vermont is not what is used to be. My wife and I used to take a weekend every year and stay over there, doing the flea market/antique thing. It's just not the same anymore. Lots and lots and lots of druggies. Muggings/robberies outside motels in Burlington. Still pretty and places like the Shelburne Museum are great. But it's not what it was 20 years back, much less 40 years back. Vermont is full of people from NYC, Mass, Conn., Jersey and they brought their attitudes with them.
