I recently bought a John Deere plow with 3 point, horsehead mast for 801 hitch, and a gauge wheel bracket (wheel is missing). Problem is, it has the square box tube on top like the f120/125 plows, but according to a google search and some posts I found on this site, the f series plows came out after the 801 was out of production. None of the plows listed for the 801 have the box tube. I appreciate any help identifying the plow. Sorry I don't know how to post a picture but can email a picture if needed.

I doubt that I will use the plow very much, but would like to restore it because I think it will look good mounted on the 60. It is missing the gauge wheel and one coulter.

To answer your question, without a pic. it sounds like you may have a F125 plow or similar. You can put the mast and guage wheel bracket on any of them. Also the bracket could be for a parking stand. The bracket is similar. Somebody could have used the plow on an older tractor, 60 or 70 maybe.
