Building a boom jet sprayer

I've got a 3 point sprayer tank and PTO pump that I've been using as a broad-jet sprayer for Weedmaster (2,4D), but thinking of building a boom so I can be more precise with expensive stuff like Milestone ($114 a quart!).

Anybody know of an on-line outfit that sells the components, and is user-friendly enough that one could design the system from their catalog?
 
Im goING build one also but for the 4-wheeler . i know tractor supply sells parts to make it, maybe try them
 
Tee-jet.

We built a 6 nozzle boom for our 60 gal sprayer.

There are so many options out there, it can get confusing.

Have you learned how to calibrate so you know how much herbicide you are putting out?

All my info is at the farm. I can post it for you next Monday.
 
We just bought an 8ft piece of pipe and installed hoses, tips, clamps, pvc connectors, and a valve for our 3pt sprayer.

All the components were bought at TSC, except for the 8ft piece of pipe.
 
Thanks, Nancy- I know how to put it together and calibrate it, but just looking for a starting point on size of nozzle needed to put x gallons of material on per acre at a reasonable speed, spacing of nozzles, pressure needed to make it work right, etc.

I just Googled TeeJet- I think I'm off to the races.
 
The back of the package for the nozzles will tell you the gpm according to the PSI and tractor speed.

Tee-jet probably will have this posted on their website, too.

ForestrySupplies.com in US. Google them. I've bought from both. No problem with shipping either way. Prices are pretty good, a lot cheaper than at the dealerships.

Several years ago I built a retractable boom. I used braided high pressure hose and T-Jet nozzles. It worked really nice, the square tubing I used slid inside one another, so when not in use, it did not take up much space.
