Pictures from the tractor seat.

I showed my MF 1155 and 97 fwa at our local show a couple of weeks ago, its a small Scottish village called New Byth. It was around 40 years ago this show originally started and has been going well ever since, some years its warm and sunny while others have been raining and wet. This year we were lucky in that it stayed dry. The pictures were taken on my phone from the seat of the 97, the parade field is very small and the tractors have to bunch up for them all to get in. The 97 fwa can be a bit of a handfull when trying to turn in the very small space available. The Ferguson in the first picture was built up by a local guy but does look good for a working model. The show/parade is held in a small field but there would be around 100 tractors as well as cars, bikes and the odd truck. As you will see the colours are varied but Marshalls play a strong part. Hope you enjoy. Looking forward to our US/Canada trip in September.

Hi Bill, well attended show you have there. I am out most weekends in the summer doing rally commentries but you are just a little bit to far north for me. You have a good following of Marshalls up there, We have also got a good selection down here as thy were made just up the road at Gainsborough. MJ

That Massey Ferguson at the bottom of the second picture,do you know what the reason is for the "longhorn" headlights on it?
Wasn't there a Fordson Major that came from the factory with lights set out like that?

Looks like y"all had a good day for your show.

Good to hear that your local show has been successful for 40 years.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

Well your are correct lots of modern JD tractors at work in our area, most every farm has one or two.We dont have many vintage or classic JD tractors though,of course my 5020 was at home as well but maybe a future year we will get her out. She is the only one I know of in the north east of Scotland.

Go to Utube. There are numerous videos of The 'Field Marshal' tractor.Single cylinder plowing....Pretty cool.
