having problems with my 53 ferg. I think it is governer problems the throttle cotroll is of little use when it is running it hunts up and down. have check about everything else that I can tell. carb is good no leaks new plugs ,wires,cap ect. ,, help,,,

Check where the governor rod attaches to the front of the block. I had a similar problem with my TO35 several years ago and the piece where the rod attaches to the block was broken. I wired it back together and have had no problems since.
