OT - Propane Prices

Coming up on time to lock in a price for propane, company is offering $1.80/gal - what is it in your area?

$1.80 here as well in SW MN. I doubt it will get any cheaper in this area, at least not as cheap as it used to be.

I prepaid 1,000 gallons for winter at $1.65, which is 25 cents
higher than in 2013. I don"t know yet what the summer fill will
cost. I just read yesterday that the U.S. has a glut of propane,
so I don"t know why prices should be higher, but they are. I
am in south-central Minnesota.

I pre-bought 2500 gallons at $1.39 in order to get a (2nd) free 500 gal tank in May. SE IN.

Just filled out the contract last night. I always go prepaid and keep full. Prepaid price was $1.60 the 20% down option was $1.65

In eastern Nebraska, I just contracted 1100 gallons of house propane for $1.47 per gallon.

My shop propane, I buy off the truck at the prevailing rate.

Two weeks ago, pre-bought 2000 gallons for $1.699.
Central Michigan.

Looks like prices are different all over the map.
Guess everyone is scrambling to be sure we don't get
a repeat of last winter's shortages. My supplier
thinks it won't be as much of a problem this season.

Small user here, gas stove only, so I get shafted.
The only price difference between gas delivered by
my supplier and grill tanks at the quickstop is I
don't have to pick it up, and it isn't likely to
run out while cooking breakfast.

Considering what they were a few months ago I would say that they are the opposite of "all over the map"

Just got the pre-buy offer of $2.00/gal a couple days ago. Local farmer(no relation, have known him for several years prior to LP company startup) and his nephew started a propane business a few years ago, good folks, Green Energy LP out of Jerome, MI.
