On my C there is a fuse on the back of the light/charging switch, and also one one the front of the panel straight below the ignition switch. My manual does not show the one on the back of the switch. Should there be a fuse in there and if so what does this fuse control? Thanks for the advise, Jeff

Your lite sw has been changed see where the wires go as there would only be one fuse early Cs had the one on the lite sw and a cut0ut on the gen mounted on top of the gen sw then allowed for hi-charge in second position then third position was for dim lites the fourth position was for brite lites.

Are you seeing a regular glass fuse behind the light switch or a resistor that's fastened to the switch, far as I know it has one fuse for lights and it's on the panel below the on/off switch.

There is a regular glass fuse there. It looks like someone put a H light switch in at sometime. I was wondering if the fuse has anything to do with the charging system or only the lights. I tried the tractor with it in and out and nothing seemed to change, so just wondering if it should be there or not?

Turn you lite on then remove the fuse to see if they are still lit. I dont know how its wired but i do know something is not original is the lite sw 4 position or three. Where is the voltage regulator or cut out licated if they are on the gen you have an early model. If you have a reg mounted below the gen its a later model
