what a coincedence

Yeah, like I said, I had never seen or heard of them 'til a few years ago. Passed by the JD dealer and saw one there, turned around and went back just to look at it and see what it was. I kinda like 'em. The A-C model G was no beauty contest winner either but they are still collectible. I was surprised to find that the model L was originally introduced in 1937 as the 62, was not "styled" until 1939.

They go pretty pricey. I turned down one from my dad was going to give to me with plow and cultivators, let him sell it. Maybe that was not such a good decision.

they were kinda ugly but cute too ,,and common in southern ind. , I can think of 5 rite now ,realy cumbersome to drive ,3 spd tranny , no power , but gutsy all the same... dad bought one for 75 bux back in 1970 ..real oil burner , but it did run . no electric ,had to crank , or rope wrap on pulley pull start had good touchy brakes ..didn't hurt him , but i ran over my 12 year old brother ankle/shins with it , when he was choking it as we were roll starting it, I remember skidding the brakes to stop and letting off just as I rolled over Bob so I wouldn't hurt him.. he got up , dusted himself off . and cussed the bushy grass for tripping him , said he was fine and so we got busy cultivating .. as kids growing up ,we pulled a horse drwn cultivater over some 5 acres of tobacco , tomatoes , peppers and taters, we were a great team .. lol . hard to get on and off ,, I rolled it on it side bakin up a wagon , kinda slow motion ,, it sat for 20 yrs after all that .. When Pop, passed on , mom got 1350 bux for it 4 yrs ago ...
