they are supposed to do a "cryo spray abrasion" tomorrow morning, which is supposed to somehow shrink it. im going to ask him about the stint because this procedure is supposed to be temporary. not that it really matters, 4 days after round 6 he called and told me they found cancer, so im a goner anyhow. i wasn't gonna say any thing but i figured it would explain my blunt reply's to post.
i have an appointment with an oncologist next wed and i will go and listen to what they have to say, but i doubt i will go thru with all the bs. i have watched friends and family go thru the bs and live 3 more years of absolute misery and loose the battle anyway.

Here is one book that really opens your eyes and gives alternative approaches for cancer cures. Notice that "cure" is a 4-letter word in the pharma world.

Go to the website below and look for the title "Wellness against All Odds" by Sherry Rogers:

Our prayers and thoughts are with you and please keep us updated on your progress

Everyone has an inborn will to live. When we receive bad news such as this, we do tend to let it get us down, but the majority bounce back with a determination to win, and if we do go down, we go down swingin'. Championship boxing matches are 12 rounds, you are entering round seven, which means you still have along way to go. So take a deep breath, make a fist and start swinging! There are a lot of people pulling for you!

Hey Jen wishing you nothing but the best in your battle. My wife was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer, rare fast growing aggressive cancer with low survival rate(5-10percent at that time). She found a good oncologist who treated her to the best of his ability and after a tough regimen of chemo and radiation plus her will to live and the goal to see all the kids graduate from high school and on their way, she survived. Guess what, its been 15 years she is still doing great all the kids are grown, married ect, and we are enjoying life. Keep a good atitude, give it your best, and know all your friends at home and on YT are in your corner and saying prayers for you.

Only God knows when it's time. He's provided us with the finest medical technology man has ever known, least you can do is see what they have to offer!

John 14:12
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

About a year and a half ago, my older brother went from Stage 0 Cholorectal cancer to Stage 4. Just like that. After about a year of what seemed to be rigorous and at times torturous rounds of chemo, of all days, on my birthday, February 26 of this year, he was basically told that his cancer is in remission, and the cancerous tumor has been shrunk down to nothing. Don't get me wrong, he is still very high risk of return, especially if he doesn't keep up with maintenance, which is still every other week like his chemo was. With his chemo, he went in every other Tuesday, was hooked up to a chemo IV for a couple of hours, and then sent home with a pack and pump that did like a slow drip or injection, that was timed to run out about a certain time on Thursdays when he would just about be at the oncologist to be disconnected. Mainetnance to prevent a reoccurance or flair up also happens every other Thursday, but only for a short time, and not nearly as potent as the chemo.

My brother, and being a witness to his treatments had some very tough times, BUT as a reminder, other folks have been through this, and others will. One day I could be one as well. There ARE an awful lot of survivors out there, and my brother WAS written off at Stage 4. My brother is doing much better these days.

One place where my brother still suffers, was that when being questioned by his physician about general health, changes, things of the sort, would not tell his physician about a growing numbness in his extremeties, such as fingers and toes. Nueropothy, I think that they call it, and is a known side affect of Chemo THAT CAN OFTEN be minimized, and possibly even avoided with medications. My brother got in his mind that he didn't want to take anymore chemicals into his body, so he didn't say anything, and by the time that he did, there is and was some sugnificant nerve damage done that he is now trying to reverse through things like Vitemin-B and ??? Also, there are some mood swings attached as side affects of chemo.

In my brother's case, he also has an inherited gene that is passed down to females that often causes their boys to go blind, that somehow missed me. I won't go into it in detail, but its a degenerative eye disease called "Rhetonitus-Pigmentosa" where the optic nerve basically goes away to at least a point where blindness sets in. That's my brother, and studies somehow seem to link the increased posibility of Choloectal cancer. How does that happen? Who knows, but its another dart tossed at my brother, darts that it seems will never stop...therefore never ever let up on preventive maintenance for one second.

Jennifer, may God bless you always, and keep in mind that over time, they seemed to have documented that there is a direct correlation between cure and mental attitude. Obviously, not always. HOWEVER, it seems that with a positive and upbeat, fighting attitude, the human brain must trigger the release of some chemicals, enzymes, whatever...that help isolate and fight off cancer.

JENNIFER...JENNIFER...JENNIFER...my brother was STAGE 4, and its only been about a half year, but so far each of his bimonthly tests seem to show that he is doing not so bad, and actually pretty good. He had another one today and I need to call home to see how it went for him.

My fingers are crossed for you and my brother. ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, UPBEAT AND WILL NOT BE DEFEATED FIGHTING ATTITUDE. Something we had to remind my brother of along his journey...easy for me to say as a witness, not the survivor. Easier for me to say.

Mark

What you say is true but please do some research of the different facilities that specialize in certain types of cancer when you find that out. One tractor nut to another! Us tractor people just don't give up. My late wife lost her battle after nine years. She was able to do what she loved up until two weeks before she died. She ran the factory office and did payroll a week before. Over the nine years we still went to Florida two weeks every winter and went to doll and toy shows most weekends. We had more fun those last nine years together than we did the 28 years before the breast cancer was found. I will pray that you can find a cure as so many are finding now.

I am very sorry to hear this, but as many have already mentioned, you need to keep a positive attitude and beat this terrible disease. I have never been in your position, but my grandmother has. She would not give up. Dr.s said she had less than a 10% chance of survival and she said that's good enough for me. She wanted to live to see great grandchildren be born and grow up. That was her drive. She now has 11 great grandchildren and a 12th on the way. The oldest great grandchild recently married so she may even make great great grandparent status. She is almost 90 now, but she says her cancer treatment was one of her best decisions because she got to be a part of so much in life since then. Don't give up!!

My daughter who will be 38 in 10 days found out that she had it three and a half years ago. It was already pretty well advanced. She had a few sequences of chemo and a double mastectomy. She didn't have to go for radiation after the mastectomy because the tests showed zero cancer left. She is back to her life pretty much as it was before.

Jennifer my wife was just diagnosed which stomach cancer she is 89 so they won't use any of the chemo or radiation and operating is not a good option. We are right now trying to get Hospice but we have to refuse any help that might keep her alive longer. It's a real bummer for me I've been married 40 years now and we have been together over 46 years it's real hard to know that this will be the last year you will have your wife around to tell you what to do. I have been in your shoes,im a 3 time survivor,2 major surgeries with chemo and radiation, and once with radiation.on 3-14-93 five people,i was one of them, started chemo,i was the only person to see Christmas day, granted I was young at the time,23 and healthy.beating cancer has changed my entire outlook on life,it gave me a will to live that can never be broke,it made me into a fighter,a believer in god and man.in my opinion so much of surviving is mental and not getting down.ill be 45 in 8 days and I aint leavin here until its on my terms.jen, get your head clear, get focused, you have to stay positive ,as crazy as that sounds, and you have to count/rely on friends when life gets tough, you would help them so let them help you....

Jen
I'm so sorry to hear about your bad news. A lot of people will say they know what you are going thru when they do NOT have a clue what you are going thru. Only you know. Jen I spend most of my time in a very remote area of Canada where there is NO medical help within hours of us. My wife has done a lot of research on home remedies & is currently treating me for a enlarged prostate with positive results. All with natural herbs that grow in our own back yards. Jen don't give up. There is help out there. My email is open if you want to talk.

Jen, I don't know or care your age but you are not a goner. You can beat this thing. You hear success stories every day. Dig your heals in, look for positives not negatives and think positive. For every friend you know that lost the battle, I can name one that won. All the best to you, The Flying Belgian.

Best Wishes & Prayers, Jen!
Yes, they are doing wonderful things with treatments these days - -please listen with open mind.
I also have seen friends beat it, and had others decide it was time to abide with the Lord until time to go on home, thus my Prayers for your prognosis and decision!!
John

Jen, I've never been in your shoes so I'm not qualified to give any advice. I am concerned about you and I pray you can beat it. Jim
