needed one more wagon

Dad and I got lucky last night and the rain went completely around the farm, so we tried our best to finish today what we had down. Got 4 full wagons with somewhere around 675 bales between them loaded and we could have filled one more if we had more wagons. 13 windrows on the ground and it's raining....

I'll cut more tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully we can get the new shafts for our chopper wagon soon so I can put it together and then we can press a little harder for a bagger to finish our 1st crop. Been a long, slow spring and summer.. Hopefully we can make it through this soon.

G a looonnnggg first cut. I'll be cutting the last 5 acres tomorrow myself.lad you got what you got. It has been

I hear you there been the same for me. I could have used one more wagon also but we did get it all put in the barn, started sprinkling in the morning with 3 wagons loaded I thought oh no it's gonna pour(had that happen)but it slacked off and I was relieved to say the least when the last bale went in!

And that is why I got an old round balers several years ago.....
Even tho I have much better storage options for small squares
and still do them.

Can finish up baling faster if rain is coming, as well as bale up
the junky hay a lot easier with the round baler.

But, I feed my own cattle, and wish I wouldn't have to plan on
making junky hay. Darn wet climate I live in......

You were apparently stacking high and tight.

Yup. 2 wagons are 8 x 18, the other 2 are 8 x 16. When going for max loads, I can stack pretty good.

It depends on the day and conditions, how much is laying, etc... I stood on the toungue while I filled in the hole in the middle. Really good smelling stuff too.
