My body shop guy says when the newer Chevrolet Silverado pickups start bubbling the paint (rust through) over the rear wheels to just cover the entire outside opening with the plastic fender flares. I guess they can fix a rust spot, but then it does the same thing next to it the following month. Looks to me like some come from the factory that way - with flares. On ebay there are many for sale. I don't think I want the super big ones that look like they are bolted on (fake bolts). Some of the retailers say the flares they sell are like the OEM fender flares which are relatively flat and go up the fender 4 - 5 inches - which would cover the bleed/rust throughs. Does anyone have any experience purchasing these fender flares and have any personal preferences?? Thanks
