James frequently has vines wrap around the drive on the bush hog. Keeps a small axe sharp to hack it off. Makes a real mess.

I ran across an old fence line laying on the ground when cleaning up some regrowth along a hay field with my mulcher.

Took all of 10 seconds to wrap up but 4 hrs to cut it off.

Last year I rented a Bobcat with a mulcher on it. Found an abandoned fence line and the result looked just like yours. Took bolt cutters, fence tool, needle nose pliers, a hammer and lots of time to get the wire off.
In between wire the mulcher worked great. Wish I owned one.
