Sharing for those that may not know what N. Central Idaho looks like. My uncle Ira Alexander used to farm a section outside Worley on an open station tractor and I think 6' IH swather when growing wheat.

We grew up in Bonners Ferry / Sandpoint area as ranchers not farmers like they are further south. My Dad moved to Lewiston to escape the snow. Folks in the picture (L-R) Sheli (sister), Jim (Dad), Jake (baby brother) and (yours truly) ShepFL

Dad is doing ok and we have a tough road ahead of us. Thanks for all the prayers and kind words.

That picture, 3rd from the end. The road coming into town looks like the road we took from Enterprise Oregon. Lots of elevation change and loops. Pretty country. We followed Chief Joseph's journey north from Wallowa Lake....James

That's some pretty country, thanks for sharing. The photo of the old mill, or grain elevator, looks like some kid was playing "stack the toys". Good luck with your family problems, BTDT.

I like that old building it looks like a tornado dropped one on top of the other.

I likeum the pictures and the fact you let others know what part of the country they are from makes them more interesting.
I followed the Randy Weaver episode that took place near Bonner Springs, and the major news media told outright lies aboot it.
If it hadn"t been for some dedicated people wanting the truth, the FBI would have murdered his whole family and the truth wouldn"t have gotten out.

Great photos Shep, hope all goes well with your Dad and glad to see that all the family is involved.
Prayers still coming!

Great pics... nice you got to spend time with your dad and nice family photo (your T-shirt is great).

Love the old building photo, the idyllic little farms and big JD heading up the hill. Pretty country there.

Looking at the double yellow line on the road they must not have no drinking while workin are they one of the states that legalized maryjowanna.

Great Pictures! is that the new Lewiston Grade? It"s a big improvement over the old one. We live not to far from there in Western Montana.

Recognized the picture of Lewiston. My parents moved out to Lewiston in the early 80"s, after I joined the Marines. My sister, and her family live up in the Orchards, near the airport. Still live in Wisconsin, but that is beautiful country to visit. The winters are very mild down in the valley.

I think the double lines are designated as no passing zones when going up the hills. We see them painted like that a lot around here.

Thank you for those pictures, Great scenery in that area of Id. About 1960 I had the chance to drive a small, new school bus up Lewiston grade. That was something I will never forget, me being from the flat land of No Ill. clint
