Lost another from the greatest generation OT

My great aunt passed away recently.

She was a very talented piano player. She started playing at 7. She had to turn down a full scholarship to Rochester school of music during the depression because she couldn't afford to travel there.

Instead she stayed home and supported her family by playing the piano.

Later in life she chose to raise a family over becoming a concert pianist.

Here's a recording from 10 years ago, of her playing at the age of 83.

I hope I can still tie my shoes at 83, forget playing a piano like that!

Prayers for your family during this difficult time.
She certainly was a talented pianist!

actually I got that wrong, that was recorded 15 years ago - she was 83 when it was recorded, but she reached 98.

So I like to think of it more as the closing of a good book than a loss.

Holy Cow. That sounded awesome. Sounds like she was quite a woman. They don't make them like that anymore.
