made you look!! I just put this factory loose hay grapple on my "DC" with Duncan loader on to haul off brush piles, works very well for not being used for 47 years, thought you guys might like to see it

Using that would scare the bejeebies out of me!
Kind of like the old FarmHands. Be safe! :)

the looks like something my late FIL would make up. He scared the heck out of me on such things.

i think you should maybe get a ROPS and seat belt fer the tractor before ya go using it. don't want to read about you in the paper.

Do you need to have a "pile it's" license to operate this beast??

I've seen some Rube Goldberg contraptions in my life, but this takes the cake. It would also serve as a heck of an overhead line finder.

I'm jealous!

That is really wild! Never seen anything like it.

We have a photo of our old Regular with a Farmhand loader on it - lifted all the way to the peak of a barn... but that looks tame compared to your grapple. Wow!

Now there's an implement this old rabbit chaser could really use to build brush piles. Very cool!! Thanks for posting.

We're spoiled. Nowadays we'd need a $50K telehandler to do what that old beast would do. Hard to remember that at one time that was state of the art and likely the answer to a lot of prayers.

Wildlife needs a place to live! Push it in a pile and leave it for the bunnies and quail. Dont ever burn brush.

Oh, and be careful with that. Dont get to much weight in it, and dont lift it high with a load.

Wow, some of you guys are really pouring the "yellow stuff" on the poor guy's Cheerios here.

Just because it is something you haven't seen before, and doesn't have shiny new paint on it, doesn't make it a death trap. Yes it looks crude. Beyond the tractors, EVERYTHING on the farm looked crude in the 1950's. Form followed function, and a lot of implements were completely new inventions at the time.

Realistically, I don't think that thing is strong enough to tip the tractor over. It will bend or break away long before that happens.

We're not talking about lifting cars or logs here. Just brush. We're also not talking about running a slalom course in road gear either.

everyone thank you for the comments, I will answer a couple ?? first off yes it is all factory built, yes it will tip the tractor over if you do not pay CLOSE attention, it will pick up a lot to have it 15' in front of the tires LOL I am very careful with these and have been running them for 40 plus years but as we all know things can happen, another note is that I only allow two other people to run it both have more years running these than I thanks again

I've been thinking about this all night.

This may be the coolest tractor attachment ever!

Thanks so much for posting the photos for us.
