Good thing there isn't a place for you to add gas. I find it hard to believe a dehumidifier uses 410A.

Back in the day, dehmidifiers used R12 which was replaced with 134a. I have some very old dehumidifers I gased up with 134 and they work fine.

I will agree, the new stuff is junk. I had a gold star after 10 years developed multiple leaks in the evaporator. When I scrapped it out, I found the copper was paper thin.

I had a Crosley that was 10 plus years old that finally bit the dust. it ran on r-12

R12 was banned in 1996, so your old crosley had to be made at least 18 years ago.
