Texas Members, Follow up!

I want to thank each of you who responded to my question concerning the possibility of my family and I moving to Texas. We made our decision today, we are staying here. Im somewhat disappointed, but I know this is the right decision for us right now.

I moved to the Dallas area about 40 years ago and have been wanting to go back ever since. I kept putting it off because work was easier to get here. There is something in the air here that really aggravates allergies. Then the older I get the more the air here is aggravating me.

Back in the 1970's. I got a call from a recruiter that wanted me to take a job as equipment manager for a large mine in Gold Coast west Africa. He tried to sell me on the advantages of tax-free income, company housing, etc.

I thought about that all of 10 (maybe 12) seconds before I told him: "NO thanks".

Wanna bet who gets out first - you or me?

I"ve got a max of 4 yrs to retirement and moving to the farm. By God"s grace, it will be less.

I promise you, when I pull out of the driveway in Dallas for the last time, I won"t be looking back or regretting leaving.
