I was looking for a second smaller tractor to help with haying. Picked up this little 2-85 White to run the 14' Case/Ih hydra swing. Hope it is enough tractor. It is a 1980 with 3900 hrs. It should be. Have a JD 6140D for the round baler. Wanted this for the swather and JD 336 baler, plus rotary mower and posthole digger, etc. Still hoping for some rain today. Bob

We run a 14'with either our Oliver 1855 our Massey 285. The Massey gets a little light in the rear sometimes to control it on corners, but handles it fine. The Oliver weighs more because of how we have it setup and really holds on well on corners.

I'd say its not suppose to be a red stripe, because of black frame, and field boss emblem on side, I'd say factory it had the WHITE on the side panels instead of the wfe, looks to be repainted, hoods and fenders any ways, we used to have one very good little tractor very efficient, you will like it looks to be nice.

I Have a 1977 2-85 that one looks alot better than mine, shouldn't have any problem doing what you bought it for. Looks like it has enough weights also I think you will like it even if it is not properly painted.

Beautiful tractor! Wish I could find one just like it with a cab to use on the round baler and such things, but for what those bring anymore with a cab and air,I'd have to sell 40 acres to buy one.
