My Wife happen to read the thread about honeymoon
cars. The truth is we drove Her Toyota Celica Not MY
Camaro. While I am coming clean I did'nt drive My
Vega with My first wife we drove her 77 Pinto. The
truth is I had those vehicles just did not drive
them.

Not to worry, I never told a story in the presence of my wife that didn't get "corrected" a few times. Our memory is not as good when they are around.

My wife can remember what date anything happened on. I can't remember what year things happened.

My wife would have said, "What honeymoon?, you still owe me one....." Well it's been 34 lovely years, maybe for the 50th..... lol

When my wife and I were married in 1965, she had a '61 Impala and I had a '57 Mercury.

We used her Impala for a decoy and drove my Merc.

i,m 67 and can remember more things about the old cars in my life than i can anything else. year, model and colors; maybe we should start a different thread, who can go back the furthest and most number of.

We took our 26 ft. Sailboat out on the Delta can't beat that

First marriage, 1966, I borrowed Dad's 65 Impala, fire-engine red, buckets, white interior. He always had sporty cars.

Second, took my wife's 81 Camero.

Glad my other half (not married but together for close to 10 years now) doesn't have anything to do with this sight.
Mine remembers the last time she expected me to do something but doesn't remember me doing it. Ie. she pulls vacuum cleaner out, I use it but put it back where I found it and didn't put away thus I never used it. Never mind the floor is clean LOL

Wife and I drove a 1960 Pontiac on our honeymoon from Southern Illinois to Chattanooga, TN, in 1967. When we got back home, I had 35 cents in my pocket. A coupla ignorant kids, but we're still happily married. Started out with nothing, and still have most of it left.

My oldest son and his new bride came out of the church and discovered a flat tire on his car. His mom and I swapped cars (1980 Buick) with them, and I changed the tire and we went home in his car. Coupla years later my youngest son took the same Buick on their honeymoon - he had a pickup, and no room for luggage. In 1992, for our 25th anniversary, my wife and I returned to Chattanooga in the 1980 Buick, and we were talking about how much better off we were, compared to our honeymoon trip. Then we realized that we drove a seven year old car in 1967, but a 12 year old car in 1992. Humbling. . .

Father in laws '77 Mercury Marquis.1984 and I was just out of school and still thought there was money to be made selling feeder pigs.
