I"m wondering what the upward limit of phosphorus and potassium are for corn. I"ve got some extra 30-30-30 and want to put 150 lbs of nitrogen down. If I use that 30-30-30 that"s going to put 150 lbs of phosphorus and nitrogen down too. Is that too much?

yes, we like to test our soil every year so we know what we want to add to it. we bought a kit at our local big box garden center.

150 # of actual P and 150 of actual K added to the soil won't hurt a thing. Might be more than you actually need if based on a soil test, but it will not hurt the corn. Economically it might not be prudent if your soil test was to say you were high in P and K, but if you want to get rid of the fertilizer and complete the nitrogen needs of the corn it is OK.
