3000 Ford Tractor

I have a 3000 Ford tractor and am trying to find out what year it is and where it was manufactured. I've found the "stamped" numbers but am having trouble figuring them out. Any help will be appreciated.

5M17B
31023C
C1353696D1

Thank you for your time!

Tractor is a 1965. Built on December 17th day shift. That tractor would have built in Highland Park Michigan.

Thanks Gary! Can you tell me which "code" you used to come up with that information? I just can"t seem to be able to decipher the code.

Thanks again!
Jeff

C1353696 is your serial number. Don't know what the D1 at the end is. Starting with a C means it's a U.S. built model. ("A" = Antwerp, Belgium, "B" = Basildon, England)
31023C is the model number. Starting with a 3 means it's a '65 to early '68 model. springfieldbiz.com has a code list so you can decipher each digit of that code.
5M17B is the unit number, which is a date code. 1965 (5) December (M) 17th, 2nd shift (B)
