Wife and myself took a few days vacation in Jan of this year. We stopped at a road side vegetable stand. I spotted this rake. Looked like it has been a few years since it was used. I have no idea what it was used for. Don't remember what's growing, but like the straight rows. This is farming country, in El Centro, south east California. Stan

Raking up nuts?
 
Many hours pulling that rake "round and round" our bristles were farther apart, those must be for fine grained hay or dog hair. Jim

The row crops are probably Lettuce. The Imperial Valley is great Lettuce country.

I used to work in El Centro back in the mid-'70s as a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic for Schaefer's Ambulance. I was primarily stationed in El Centro, but was stationed up in Brawley for a while.

All the years that I worked for Schaefer's , I worked from San Diego to Santa Barbara and everything in between. I even worked as a Flight Medic on a Twin Beech Bonanza Air Ambulance.
