this might not be the best place to ask this
question but since it is a hydraulic issue i
figured i might as well see what responses i get.
im trouble shooting the leveling blade on the
front of a cat cp433e compactor. the blade is slow
to raise at first and when the oil is warm wont go
up at all when its running at a low idle. high
idle it works fine. took the valves apart and
found nothing there. put in 2 new pressure relief
valves in. the steering works fine and uses the
same pump but there is a priority valve that
divides the outlet of the pump between the 2.
there is only 875-900 psi at the cylinder. no
visual leaks. over 2000psi at the steering side of
the priority valve (the only side with the test
port). could a week pump cause this? also if you
steer and try to raise the blade it will work.

When you say it works when you put pressure on the steering side, leads me to believe possible worn out valve bank...

If you lock the steering to one side or the other and the other hydraulic functions work better I'd check the priority valve ..
