8n hydraulic oil

Ford originally specified GL-1 90W for 8Ns but changed their recommendation to UTF some time ago and many folks do use UTF that meets CNH 134D or later specs.

You will find that the UTF performs much better in cold weather than does the GL-1 but is also more likely to leak.

Asking an oil question! Here we go again!!

Moderators need to put that in the same category with politics and religion! LOL

Seriously, Travller is a brand name, they make all kinds of oil.

TSC offers a universal tractor oil, for older tractors that share transmission oil with the hydraulics. The container offers little information on whats in it. I personally think it would be OK.

The Traveller Ford Tractor All Mineral SAE 90 Ford Tractor Transmission Fluid is a closer match, but they would probably have to order it, cost more.

Exactly what Dean says.

I had a few smarty follow up comments but my spell checker kept messing them up and I decided you probably didnt come here for my questionable whit!

I used the Traveller brand All mineral, SAE 90 "ford tractor transmission fluid" Its a couple dollars cheaper than the UTF type
