Farmers are independent people, who don't like
being told what to do, or how to do it, but this
surely shows a lack of common sense.
If this was to be seeded in pasture grass..maybe..
but, for any other crop..how will he harvest it.
A friend rolled his combine, last fall, with a full bin, on a slope far gentler than that.

Have you seen pics of the wheat growing Palouse region south of Spokane, WA? They have been farming hills like this for years...most use hillside combines now.
 
Sometimes you just gotta farm the ground you have!
There places in NA that are farmed steeper than that. Steel tracked cats and sidewall combines required.
 
exactly we bust our butt and have to farm to meet the Fed standards on erosion here in Illinois or we get fined big time
