O.T. Stratford Homes

Visited the plants open house today, thinking of having one built. Any of you Midwest guys have an
experience with these homes. They look well built.

Sitting in one as we speak.

I consider them to be very well constructed. We did have a couple miscommunications on a few things which is to be expected. They were very accommodating on changes esp wiring.

One suggestion, if you have many pictures to hang on the wall have plywood put under the drywall. With Stratford it isn't very spendy and makes the discussions of where wall hangings go much smoother since you don't need to find a stud to hang from. Only prob with that is adding outlets gets a bit interesting.

All in all I would recommend Stratford any day of the week. Course ours is only 2 years old also.

I have no personal experience with them, but I know a guy who works at the Stratford plant. I would never buy anything he had a hand in building. In his younger days he stole a car (literally) and lost it to the bank.

Nothing to do with stratford but transportation is a very big thing. A friend got a very big one and they delivered it during a heavy rain, so it got a lot of water damage, and the drywall was cracked over all of the doorways.
