Just got home from a road trip to Cooperstown with my wife, this is lake Otsego. I wish I could have stopped and took more pics if the beautiful area. Now I'm outside smoking a ham, and then cleaning out the hen house to put the new chicks in there this week. It was picture perfect day here in NY!

The ice is all gone as of yesterday, on the big pond here, its perfect out there today, we waited a good 5 months for a day like today, or so I seem to think, awesome you got to make good use of it, short trip and doing some outdoor work !

I think I'm finally going to take the tractor out of the garage, take the tire chains off and tarp it over, so I can work in the garage again, never enough room no matter how much you have, but with the temps on the rise, I won't have to worry about starting it in bitter cold, slow hydraulics etc. spring is seemingly here. I wonder how ACG is doing in the sugar house, I saw someone posted some photos and has a bunch more to post of a salvage yard on the case forum, I'd sure love to explore and old yard like that on a day like today, now that's always fun, even if just looking !
 
I also would like to get the wife's car out of my garage lol! I taped 18 trees or so, only got 35 gallons so far, if I get enought to make a gallon of syrup, ill be happy. Great day but a little breezy!

My friend taps a few trees too, he's got his 2 young daughters as assistants to help, what you lack in volume, you gain in quality ! Don't get much but what you do is priceless, and it ought to be running well today.

I have been fighting to get out there today, something made me kind of ill today, always happens darn it, first good day we have, but all is not lost, feel much better now, probably over did it yesterday.
 
North of Syracuse here and temp gauge hit 70 in shaded sun. At least lower to mid 50s. Got a little of lawn raked and walked/fixed horse fence line. Was a great day
