Shouldn't have to worry about mice damage. It doesn't look like there is room for one to sqeeze under the hood !

First, I didn't mean to start anther S post. Here is the rest of the car along with it's best time sheet and it is still the new Camaro's worst nightmare at the strip. Chuck

I have been a Ford man all my life, however I'm not into speed anymore. ANYTHING that is a Camaro's worst nightmare is fine with me. By the way,.......beautiful car.

A new zL1 camaro or srt8 challenger would put that to shame, the camaro is well over 500 horse and the challenger is 475 gonna be 540+ next year.

[quote="Glenn F.That's alright, it's been eating up Camaros, Vetts and Mopars for more than 12 years and never had a failure, Chuck

It's no Cobra but here is my daughter's 94 GT that I have now ( She is driving a 07 now ) Mine is the first of that generation and yours is one year from the end of it. About all they have in common is the same color and body style. She wants me to sell this one but I think I'll just keep it. Car has less than 90K on it and is perfect condition. I would like to have one like yours though!!!

Sugar, I got a "smart phone" a few weeks ago, and vowed I'd learn how to post photos before "L" came up. Obviously that blew by.
Wanted to show my LOVE project that I'm starting...another day since I haven't gotten up to 'smart' yet.

Good for you! I was a GM fan, still have 3 GM/Chevy trucks, 73,84 and old body style,89, after having a 2002 pos Chevy 1500 car, I went to Ford. Couldn't be happier. Now iv never liked the mustang, but if it whoops a Chevys azz, I'm for it. I wasent born with enought middle fingers to show today's junk GM!

You need to look a little closer at the timeslip in the video. Its 12.23 sec

The 10.90s he is posting below the video are with all his bolt-ons.

And trust me I ain't a Ford guy, but I am calling it the way I see it. High 11s in a ZL-1 is what you're going to get.

Rick

Video didnt work for me, go on google and see what you find, I know a zl1 will put the svt cobra to shame.

If you spend a lot of money on it and remember that engine does not have forged internals like the cobra engine. Chuck

John M, The sales bro. for the Cobra states that the engine has a forged crank and pistons on Manley H-Beam rods with ARP bolts. There are many of these putting down over 800hp with stock internals.
I googled the Camaro ZL1 and found that engine doesn't have forged internals. Chuck

Chuck, I was talking to G1355, but you arent
telling me anything I dont already know! Had an 04
Cobra, until I had to sell it, kids will do that!
Dynoed at I think it was 358 stock. Had a TB and
plenum put on, and little tune on the comp and she
was putting out 557 - 560 to the rear wheels.
Never put it on the track, didnt need to!
Coincidentally, the rods were built by family, so
I know what they are capable of. Just growing
weary of mouthy people who cant back up what they
claim, other than with google numbers ya know!

What do you mean the video didnt work? You posted it.

Published horsepower numbers do not mean one car is faster than another.

Rick

I read the reviews, takes horsepower and traction and the right gearing, a 10 year old car might be fast, but the new technology will win, no different than a 10 year old biggest John Deere, say a 9400, it isn't gonna beat a 9560r, it might sorta hang with it, but the 9560r will easily show it up. The Newer it is, the better it gets.

The camaro comes factory with 580hp so that's got you beat from factory, my brother has a supercharged srt10 truck that will run low 11s in quarter mile, and its got over 650hp and that's a truck! I'm sure it'll beat a new gt500 also let me guess. Lol I'd race it with my dirtbike in a 1/8 for sure and win, I bet I could take it in a 1/4 also although I'd be topped out way before I hit a 1/4 mile. I can change sprockets a do 100+ easy

my final answer, the zl is running 3.73 gears and my cobra still has the stock 3.55 set, but thanks to modern technology with a 4 valve head and twin cams it can do better than the zl1 with only 281 cu.in. and superchip store bought computer tune, 2.81in. pulley , cold air and borla cat back exhaust. chuck
